The San Antonio Spurs are a great team lead by one of kind 7’4 Victor Wembanyama, that can do everything literally everything. They have a deep roster, with an upcoming superstar in Stephon Castle. The Spurs came out in game one of the Western Conference Finals and everyone thought it was going to be a sweep with how Wemby dominated. Since then the Oklahoma City Thunders, lead by the league MVP in Shai Gilgeous Alexander, have won the last 2 games and have looked dominant. Many are questioning what’s wrong with the Spurs.
In my opinion, the Spurs are beating themselves with a little help from the zebras. The Spurs are coming down getting turnovers on consecutive drives, just being careless with the ball. The Thunders are too good of a team to give extra points to. But, it’s not even the turnovers for me, it’s has to be the shot selections on offense for the spurs. At some points throughout the games the Spurs just be out there jacking up 3’s. In particular Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, and Kelton Johnson. They have to understand and realize this not the regular season and every possession count. Especially with the long misses that results in fast break points. Like I said earlier, the Thunders are a great team and they don’t need any help. If the Spurs don’t get it together quick, they will be going home.
